We use two core assessments: the Uncouple® Stress Audit and the Energy Leadership™ Index. This helps us to understand the stress patterns influencing how people think, respond and perform. These diagnostics help identify hidden stress cycles, behavioural defaults and the factors shaping day‑to‑day capacity. We also work with TalentPredix™ for clients or organisations wanting deeper insight into strengths and career drivers.

A clear view of hidden stress cycles and early signs of overload

The Stress Audit maps stress patterns that often go unnoticed yet have a real impact on wellbeing and performance. It highlights triggers, load accumulators and subtle behavioural shifts so we can intervene early, prevent escalation and tailor support to what matters most.

What it is

The Uncouple® Stress Audit is a science‑led diagnostic that maps hidden stress cycles, internal load, behavioural patterns and early warning signs that influence how someone thinks, feels and responds day-to-day. It highlights the difference between surface symptoms and deeper stress processes, helping us understand where stress is taking hold and how it’s affecting health, behaviour and performance.

How it works

The audit combines structured questions with pattern‑recognition insights to identify:

  • stress triggers and load accumulators

  • nervous system patterns (acute vs chronic)

  • early signs of overload

  • areas where stress is spilling into relationships, decision‑making or work

  • the specific levers that will make the fastest difference

For individuals

The Stress Audit helps individuals understand what’s happening beneath the surface, even when stress isn’t obvious. It brings clarity to early symptoms, subtle cycles and patterns linked to mesotrauma®, allowing us to intervene early and prevent escalation. It supports proactive clients as well as those in high‑stress moments that are in need of stabilisation.

For organisations

The Stress Audit helps employers understand where stress is affecting an employee’s performance, energy and behaviour. It provides a rapid, non‑clinical insight into what’s driving capacity issues, reactivity or inconsistent output. This diagnostic helps ensure the coaching plan is targeted, efficient and aligned with organisational goals.

Energy Leadership™ Index (ELI) assessment

Insight into behavioural defaults and stress‑response patterns

The ELI measures how someone leads, communicates and reacts under everyday conditions and when under strain. It reveals the internal filters that shape behaviour and decision‑making, offering a practical, evidence‑based starting point for strengthening performance and working more sustainably.

What it is

The Energy Leadership™ Index is a Forbes‑recommended assessment that measures how someone leads, reacts and makes decisions both under normal circumstances and in response to stress. It reveals the attitudes, perceptions and behavioural defaults shaping how a person shows up - especially when pressure increases.

 

The 360 version allows for additional anonymous feedback from preset groups, which is great for those who want to understand how their stress-related behaviour impacts others.

How it works

The ELI identifies:

  • baseline patterns: how someone operates day‑to‑day

  • stress‑response patterns: how behaviour shifts under strain

  • where energy is being drained or misdirected

  • how internal filters influence communication, leadership and problem‑solving


It can also be extended to a 360‑degree assessment, gathering perspectives from managers, peers and direct reports for a fuller picture of leadership impact.

For individuals

The ELI gives individuals a clear view of how stress influences their internal state, reactions and decision-making. It is especially useful during transitions, identity shifts or periods of increased pressure.

 

The insights help individuals shift out of unhelpful patterns, respond more steadily to stressors and build healthier, more sustainable ways of operating.

It is a great way for individuals to seek deeper insights into their stress-related default behaviour and give them the knowledge to begin making in-the-moment shifts when under pressure. This is an even more powerful tool when combined with a coaching programme but can be taken as a standalone assessment.

For organisations

The ELI is particularly valuable for employees in roles requiring emotional regulation, high-quality decisions and team influence. Under stress, leaders can experience cognitive narrowing, inconsistent communication and reduced problem‑solving capacity - issues that can impact whole teams, especially through crossover effects.
